Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist
Maura Dunfey, D.O. is a double board certified Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with an additional certification in Ecosystemic Structural and Family Therapy. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania and Staff Psychiatrist at Council for Relationships.

Dr. Dunfey’s longstanding interest in public health and systems thinking was shaped by her early work in homeless outreach and community support of individuals with chronic mental illness in Oregon and New Hampshire, followed by several years working on firearm and injury prevention research at the University of Pennsylvania. She is interested in studying the intersection of education, mental health, and health care that have all been affected by structural racism, with pre-existing inequities laid bare during the COVID-19 pandemic. She serves as a Restorative Justice Circle Keeper at Council for Relationships.

Dr. Dunfey is co-founder 2 local grassroots organizations: Philadelphia Healthcare Invested in Racial Equity (PHIRE) and Physicians for a Healthy Pennsylvania. She serves as a board member for the Delaware County Medical Society and is President-Elect of the Regional Council for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry of Eastern PA and Southern NJ. She is a contributing author for the 2024 special issue of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatric Clinics of North America, Bringing the Village to the Children: Addressing the Crisis of Children’s Mental Health.

She founded and directs Full Living: A Psychotherapy Practice specializing in thoughtful matches with seasoned clinicians. She is co-director of Ketamine Kollaborations and recently published Prepare Yourself, Your Clients and Your Practice for Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy: A Step by Step Guide.
